Professional development hours are required for all faculty and staff as part of our annual performance evaluation. The number of hours suggested each year can be found in the Professional Development: Procedure solution article.
Professional Development Opportunities offered by Athens Technical College are advertised on our Intranet and credit for attendance is tabulated on the Intranet.
How to Register for Professional Development Sessions in the Intranet
- Log into the Intranet from the Okta Single Sign On tile.

- Choose Faculty/Staff Development from the left menu.
- Select Courses Available to access the list of upcoming Professional Development sessions.
- Select Register Now! to sign up for Professional Development sessions
- You will see a Success message after registering for a session

- View your past development sessions under My History.
- Use the Add Your Own section to include activities that you participate in that are offered outside of our college. If you have questions about if an activity qualifies for professional development, please contact your supervisor.
- Unable to attend a session? Before the session start date, Use the Drop a Session option.
- If you are interested in presenting a professional development or have an idea for a topic, please complete the Faculty and Staff Suggestion Box.
