Athens Technical College uses Simple Syllabus by Simple Higher Ed as our syllabus management system. This cloud-based program allows faculty to create digital syllabi that students can access from within their Blackboard course.

Please take a moment to review both your live-term courses and Master courses in Blackboard to ensure that any old syllabi and addendums are removed. The only syllabus students should see is the Simple Syllabus link located in the Blackboard Start Here module.

Uploaded syllabi using other links, Word, or PDF documents may contain outdated or inaccurate information that may be confusing to students. By using the Simple Syllabus link, the college ensures students always have access to the most current information. If a syllabus update is needed, the instructor may make that modification within Simple Syllabus, and the system automatically notifies students by email.

A Pacing Guide should still be uploaded in the Blackboard Start Here module to accompany the syllabus; however, it should not contain any syllabus content.
