Athens Technical College Resources

The Center for Teaching and Learning has created a Solution Center where the answers to frequently asked questions are found. If the answer to your specific question isn’t in the Solution Center, a Support Request can be created for one-on-one assistance.

Below are several resources that you may find helpful whether you are a new student, returning student, or faculty at Athens Technical College. If the hyperlinks do not work, or if you prefer to copy and paste the link into your browser, each web address is listed at the end of this solution article.

New Student Orientation

Faculty and students alike can benefit from the New Student Orientation. This orientation is available without a login so students that have been accepted to the college, but login credentials have not yet been set up can benefit from the information.

Blackboard Resources

Athens Technical College has a Blackboard Orientation available to all students. Any student taking online or blended courses should complete this orientation before the first day of class.

Blackboard offers a Browser Checker for anyone using Blackboard to ensure the computer used is compatible with Blackboard.

Blackboard also offers videos to introduce the various tools in Blackboard that students may be required to use in the course. A list of videos recommended by the CTL is included in the solution article Blackboard Orientation Videos.

Once students are able to log into Blackboard, there is a virtual Student Guide to Blackboard organization that provides additional resources and tips for using Blackboard. All students should see a link to the organization under the Student Tools portion of the Blackboard Dashboard and may self enroll in the organization.
